The Fred Wright Mathematics Endowed Scholarship Fund

Fred Wright was a professor at Iowa State for over thirty years and would like to leave his legacy with the mathematics department by endowing a scholarship in his name.
Award
One year scholarship, renewable at the discretion of the awarding authority for up to an additional three years (for a total of four years) provided the recipient continues to meet the criteria.
Criteria
Recipient shall be an undergraduate majoring in mathematics with a GPA of 3.0 or higher, and shall demonstrate exemplary leadership skills as evidenced by participation in two extracurricular activities as evidenced by such things as but not limited to participation/leadership role in a recognized student organization, active participation/leadership role in a professional organization, or active participation/leadership role in community service as determined by the awarding authority.

Also provide verification of your leadership role in two extracurricular activies from leaders of these organizations.
Special note: If you are already receiveing and ISU scholarhip, verify that your existing scholarship allows you to also receive the Wright scholarhsip.
The deadline for applications is the Wednesday following Spring Break.
