If you have questions and would like to speak with someone about becoming a high school mathematics teacher, please contact one of the individuals at the left.

Overall, to become certified to teach, most students earn a bachelor’s of science in mathematics and complete additional requirements as given by the University Teacher Education Program (UTEP).

Are you interested in coaching?

The four courses required for a coahing endorsement are Psych 230, Biol 155, ExSp 220 and ExSp 315.

Since 7-12 mathematics has been identified as a teacher shortage area, you may qualify for a forgiveable loan.
