• Iowa Collegiate Mathematics Competition This is an annual competition by student teams in Iowa, typically held in April.
• COMAP Mathematical Contest in Modeling This is an intense international competition usually held in February. Student teams of three spend a weekend preparing a mathematical model for some situation.
• Research experience for undergraduates Various universities have programs for undergraduates.
