UG VEISHEA Volunteers needed


We need three more undergraduate student volunteeers to help host our Math and Voting display on Saturday. Sue Ellen will be stopping in classes to ask for volunteers.

The Math Department is joining with others in the College of LAS as they conduct a straw poll on Saturday, April 12, under the Big Top on Central Campus. We will have computers set up to allow visitors to experiment with different methods of voting. See www.mathaware.org for more informaion.

 

Ming Preliminary Exam


Ju Ming; Major Professor is Steve Hou. Tuesday, April 8 at 1:40 p.m. in
032 Carver Hall.

 

Dagli Final Defense


Mehmet Dagli will give his final defense on Wednesday, April 9, at 4:00 p.m.
in 390 Carver. The title of his dissertation is Lie Algebra Decompositions with Application to Quantum Dynamics. Domenico D'Alessandro and Jonathan Smith serve as Dagli's Major Professors.
