Disability Awareness Week
Student Disability Resources is hosting a number of activities during October 6 through 10, starting today with an open house from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. at 1076 Student Services Building.
Levine invited
Howard Levine spent Saturday, October 4 at a symposium--Differential Equations: Analysis, Applicatioins and Computation--in honor of Hans Weinberger's 80th birthday. Levine was one of four invited speakers at the event hosted by the University of Minnesota.
A natural, but twisted, opportunity
Resident Artist Patrick Dougherty is leading a collaborative community art project at Ada Hayden Park in Ames now through October 17. Volunteers are invited to join this internationally recognized artist using primitive building techniques to weave truckloads of indigenous tree saplings into an organic, free-standing sculpture inspired by our local entironment. The installation will take on new shapes and characteristics as it develops every day. More about the artist. xx Current local schedule of events.

Vote early, vote absentee, or vote on Election Day
Vote early at one of the Satellite Voting Stations that will be open between 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. on or near the Iowa State Univeristy campus next week, October 13-16.
Voting Absentee: Friday, October 31 is the last day the Story County Auditor's office can mail out an absentee ballot. Absentee ballots must be returned in person by Monday, November 3 or postmarked by Monday, November 3 and received by Monday, November 10.
Election Day is Tuesday, November 4. Exercise your right and responsibility to vote. For more information, see: Voter registration and College students voting.
