Mathematics Advisory Board
Members of our advisory board heard presentations on departmental data, diversity, outreach and strategic planning on Friday. They also discussed plans for the new center and considered additional ways for board members to be involved in the department.
2009 Awards
Wolfgang Kliemann introduces Stephen Willson, who was named to the first Barbara Janson Professorship in Mathematics on Friday.
Sunder Sethuraman received the Lambert Faculty Award, also in its first year.

MORE 2009
The MORE team travels to Bettendorf on May 18 for the next Mathematics On the Road Experience.
Grad student funded to attend IMA workshop
Sijia Liu received funding from the Institute of Mathematics and its Applications to participate in its Mathematical Modeling in Industry Workshop August 5-14. Liu's major professor is Anastasios Matzavinos.
