Hogben participates in international forum

HogbenChinaProfessor Leslie Hogben presented "Teaching Linear Algebra: Technology and Resources" to the 3rd Undergraduate Mathematics Courses Forum being held in Chengdu, China. This conference involved a comparison of undergraduate mathematics courses among Chinese, American and Russian Universities. It was attended by about 500 people.

Hogben also lectured on "Combinatorial Matrix Theory" to Professor Ting-Zhu Huang's research group at the School of Applied Mathematics, University of Electronic Science and Technology of China and then led a discussion. View photos and more information here.

Above, escorted by local graduate students, Hogben enjoys a bit of Chinese culture.
